Classroom Management
Every student is unique and so are their learning needs. Below is an overview of our classroom management systems. During the first few weeks of school we will go over expectations and procedures for school in the forms of books, activities, and discussions.

ClassDojo is a communication app for the classroom. It connects teachers, parents, and students who use it to share photos, videos, and messages through the school day. They use ClassDojo to work together as a team, share in the classroom experience, and bring big ideas to life in their classrooms and homes. |
Leopard LootWe will also use a school-wide token economy as an incentive for positive behavior. Students will be given opportunities to earn “Leopard Loot” as part of this school-wide behavior system. Students visit the “Loot” store every other week, usually with their general education classrooms. Any help stocking the “Loot” Store would be much appreciated. Some ideas might be: erasers, pencils, stickers, Happy Meal toys, bookmarks, candy, little books, etc…

Token Board EconomyAnother token economy system that may be implemented in our classroom is the “Token Board” system. Token boards are more visual in nature and provide individual students that may benefit, a more immediate and tangible reinforcement system. In the classroom, we use pennies on a board to allow each student to see the “how and when” to earn their reinforcer (e.g., when all the pennies are earned and each put on the board, the reinforcer is earned). A visual photo of the tangible item (or image of a preferred activity) is included on the board as well for the individual students to view.
